Lea A. Player was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1992.
Lea's legal career began in a defense practice at the law firm of Brown, Todd & Heyburn in the firm's National Litigation Group, a group of litigation attorneys who served as lead counsel in high-profile complex litigation cases such as the civil litigation filed by Johnnie Cochran over the Oklahoma City bombing, thousands of breast implant lawsuits, and similar products liability cases.
